2024 Non Fiction Reading Challenge

Only two challenges for me this year, one of which is the 2024 Non Fiction reading challenge, hosted by the lovely Shelley Rae over at Bookdout. The list of topics is below so lets see how many I hit. I got seven out of twelve last year, so not too bad.

I have a couple of books on my TBR shelf that will fit it nicely with the challenge so I’ll start with those. Pets and food (two separate topics) should be interesting but that’s the point of this challenge - pushing you into topics that you’d normally swerve. Science is a also a bit of a blindspot but it’s good for me to be out of my comfort zone. I did study a module in Architecture waaaaaaaaay back in the (cough) early nineties when at college, so hopefully I can rekindle that.

As usual I’ll be using the Bookriot Reading log to keep track. I still use goodreads but I find the bookriot log to be more detailed. It can be a pain in the ass to update but I’m glad of it when I’m rounding up my stats at the end of the year.

So far, it’s only two challenges this year, and I’m just going to see where my reading takes me. I do have a mammoth TBR pile to get through, and I’ll be tackling that as the year progresses. I’d be happy to enter other challenges though.

The only other challenge I’m entering is my own! - The Bookshelfdiscovery reading challenge.

Anyone entering this one or any other challenges, let me know below and I wish you luck and happy reading.
